Mo Beta

Yesterday I finished a pair of walls longer than I’d climbed before, and did the insanely hard 5.10C corner that had previously stumped me. I have a climbing partner who’s been giving me good Beta. :)

Homelife

Kicking it at home with Pista, cooking chicken soup with lentils on the stove, with The Streets and Sufjan on the stereo. Window's closed, it's cozy.

Got proper snowboarding goggles today, to replace the pair that Pista dismantled. Reckon these will last one season, or until she gets a hold of them.

Ready for thanksgiving. Snowboarding or mountain biking, either one will be great.

iTunes Remote Control

At home, I have two Macs: A MacBook Pro for work/email/gaming, and a Mini in my living room for watching movies, listening to music, etc. I was looking for a way to control iTunes on the Mini (it will have the large library as soon as I can de-dupe and wrestle it off this NTFS partition) from my MacBook and came across this extremely handy (and open-source to boot) OS X app:

Adobe has given the Flash ActionScript (ECMAScript or JavaScript 2.0) interpreter to the Mozilla foundation as the new open source core of SpiderMonkey, the JavaScript engine for Firefox. It's called Tamarin. Brilliant.

How did you pick your Vox name? Does it mean something?
Submitted by LeendaDLL.

I've been using ydnar as a handle/pseudonym for 15 years, give or take. It's my name backwards, derived from a shareware game I released in 1991 called s'ydnar squares.

A long time ago in another life I used to make electronic music. i guess you could sort of call it noisy IDM, in the vein of Squarepusher, Aphex Twin or u-ziq. A friend recently found a CD I'd given him of a bunch of tracks I'd lost, so I ripped them and put them up here:

Um, China to Alaska to Indiana (to California)? There must be some efficiency here that I'm not seeing.
